The Pluscuamperfecto is the past before the past. Instead of cramming tables, you learn it with a picture: the Two-Step Time Machine ⏪⏪. It jumps into the past and from there one more step back. Everything revolves around one verb (comer) and one object (una manzana). That is not much – and that is exactly why it sticks.
