The Tube has become my quiet in-between—neither the chaos of Earl’s Court nor the sharp, watchful world of the RCA… just motion, steel, and fleeting reflections in darkened glass.

I sit there, wrapped in the hum of the carriage, fingers loosely around the cold metal pole, pretending I’m steady… even when I’m not. London rushes past outside in streaks of light, but inside, everything slows. It’s the only place where no one really looks, where I can breathe—just for a moment.

But even here, I can’t escape myself.

I catch my reflection in the window sometimes—not the girl from the moors anymore, not the innocent dreamer who arrived with a suitcase and wide eyes. There’s something else now… something sharper, heavier. The city has already started carving its mark into me.

Every ride feels like a crossing. From who I was… to who I’m becoming. From uncertainty… to something darker, bolder, maybe even dangerous.

And somewhere between those stations, with the rhythm of the tracks beneath me and the weight of everything I’ve already lived pressing against my chest… I realize something:

I’m not just passing through London anymore.

I’m being changed by it.
