Pianticella (or seedling in English) is a large sumptuous shawl knit from end to end. The length of this shawl is completely customisable so you can use as much or as little yarn as desired. Below are some example sizes and required yardage.
I had hoped to get some lovely modelled outdoor photos but lockdown has currently put a stop to that, check out my wonderful test knitters projects though.
This pattern includes both charted and written instructions.
450-900yds (412-823m) worsted weight yarn
5mm / US8 needles
Sample shown uses 730yds / 668m and gives you a shawl that is 76” / 193cm along the top edge.
Using the minimum recommended amount of yarn (450yds / 412m) will give you a shawl that is approx. 58” / 147cm
Using approx. 600yds / 549m will give you a shawl that is approx. 70” / 178cm long
