Drawing Fruit
In this course I will teach you basic drawing skills, shading, highlighting, and how to draw a variety of fruit by simply scribbling!
This is a practice I developed as a means of therapeutic art because what's really happening while we are engaged in this artistic activity is that our brains are literally rewiring, creating new neural pathways and synapses connections.
This is known as Neuroplasticity.
Neuroplasticity can increase our learning capabilities, improve our memory, and expand our capacity for innovative ideas. This is why art can be so mentally therapeutic and physically healing.
How do I know all this? I recently completed my Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in which I studied Fine Art. When you study Fine Art you have to study many of the important sciences pertaining to the body, heart and brain such as Biology, Nutrition, and Psychology. I basically spent the last five years studying the brain and heart and how we as humans develop and process creative ideas.
I also experienced this for myself when I took my first drawing class and started waking up in the middle of the night writing poetry. Since then I have written over 30 poems!
When you engage in artistic practices with your hands such as painting, drawing, crafting, and writing; this sends a signal to the brain through the peripheral nervous system to enter into an Alpha brain state, A State of Flow. (FYI if you ever have a headache ask someone to massage your hands and watch how fast your head feels better).
What's even more fascinating is that for children this is enhanced because the human brain grows the fastest in the first 6-7 years of life
That's why its so important to me that I keep my courses Family Friendly. This course would be great as a Homeschool Project you do together with your children or even a weekend family project.
Have Fun Scribbling!
