Content Description

This poor fellow is being brought by a friend to a cast change appointment. He gets out of the car on crutches and initially sits down near the main entrance to smoke.

We see that his left lower leg is immobilized in a split white plaster cast. His toes rest on a well-sculpted toe plate.

After this brief respite, he slowly but steadily walks with his crutches to the main entrance and reception, without putting any weight on his foot.

He continues on crutches to the cast area, where we observe him for a very long time. He sits in the waiting area and talks to other patients about his injury. Here we also learn that he fractured both his inner and outer ankles in an accident.

He waits and waits. When his name is called, we briefly see him crutching into the cast room.

A cast change was apparently performed there, because when he leaves the cast room, a circular white fiber SLC adorns his injured foot. He also received a cast shoe for protection. However, he is still not allowed to bear any weight on his foot. He makes his way back to the check-in area and out of the hospital on his crutches. We can observe him for a while outside until his friend picks him up.
