The Strenuous Life: The Life and Times of Theodore Roosevelt

This set of 5 lectures examines the extraordinary life and times of America’s 25th president, Theodore Roosevelt from his youth through his many careers as lawmaker, cattle rancher, police commissioner, cabinet member, governor, VP and US president. We will also examine the dramatic, transformational times he lived in. times that included the Spanish American War, the building of the Panama Canal, and the first stirrings of Progressive-era reforms that would leave both political parties and the nation as a whole profoundly altered.
