Diana has spent much of her adult life abroad, living for many years in India and China. She holds an MA (Hons) in English from Victoria University of Wellington and a Ph.D. in classical Chinese poetry from the Australian National University.

Diana has published eight collections of poetry, with her latest work, Deep Colour, released in April 2023. This fiercely sensory and meticulously crafted collection responds with graceful precision to the immediate physical world and meditates on time, beauty, and the nature of being.
