Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Does your child watch TV, play video games more than they read? Children ages 6 and up are losing interest in reading.
Research shows when you read to children they:
• get better grades in school.
• have a deeper understanding and comprehension of the story.
• recognize the relationship between sounds, letters, and words.
Grandma Joy uses what children love to enhance story time. See how it's done."
Join us on Sunday, January 20th at 7:00 pm est. as Grandma Joy reads aloud, "Martin Luther King Jr. Day."
Children expand their knowledge as they learn about Dr. King's Day. They'll have fun discussing the importance of the national holiday with Grandma Joy and others. Opportunities are given to ask questions on the spot and get answers in real-time.
