This handsome young man arrives at the hospital on crutches to—as we later learn—have his cast removed.

He is wearing shorts, giving us an excellent view of his lower leg. Fortunately for us, it is securely encased in a massive white plaster short-leg walking cast (SLWC) complete with a walking heel and a toe plate!

Although he is likely permitted to put weight on this walking cast, he chooses not to. He diligently uses his crutches to get from place to place—to the reception desk, the waiting room, and the cast room.

Today is likely a special day for him, as his cast is being removed, marking the end of this period spent dealing with a nasty injury.
