The Mutual Radio Theater aired on hundreds of Mutual stations from March to December 1980. Monday was “Western Night” and was hosted by Lorne Greene. Tuesday was “Comedy Night”, hosted by Andy Griffith. Wednesday was “Mystery Night” with Vincent Price as host. Thursday was “Love And Hate Night” with Cicely Tyson doing honors as host. Finally, Friday brought “Adventure Night” hosted by Leonard Nimoy. The Mutual Radio Theaters was an attempt to recapture the glory days of Old Time Radio. It was reported to have a budget of several million dollars and the producers created excellent stories of adventure, intrigue, comedy and drama.
Volume 3 is an 10 CD set consisting of programs as they were originally aired, uncut with the original commercials. Digitally remastered and restored.
