Later Squared Bag Pattern

The Later Squared Bag Pattern includes the instructions to create your very own quilt inspired large travel bag.  The name of the pattern comes from what I imagined you would say when you were leaving in the 80s and 90s when I was growing up and fits right in with my other quilt pattern names.

Originally my mom wanted me to create a bag pattern that she could use as an overnight (or two) bag and would be sturdy enough to basically use in place of a drawer. I wanted a bag pattern that was different, showcasing a mini quilt on each side of your bag, uninterrupted by pockets or zippers or straps and was big enough to hold an entire quilt with ease.

Pattern is best for intermiediate sewists and is helpful if you have made a quilt and bag before. However, instructions are detailed and would be appropriate for Confident beginners.

Finished bag measurements: 15" tall by 15" wide by 10" deep. It's a rather large and roomy bag.

Pellon Flex Foam 2 1/8 yds
Pellon 809 Decor Bond 1 yd
Zipper 22" minimum 
Approximate 3.5 yds total fabric

Stabilizer Kits with or without zippers are available for purchase separately for your convenience, as well as Bias Bindings in the length you will need for the pattern.
