About Bolokada
Bolokada Conde is a master djembe player (djembefola) from the village of Morowaya in the Sankaran region of Guinea, West Africa. He was the lead drummer of Les Percussions de Guinée, Guinea's world-famous national percussion ensemble. Since 2004 he has lived and taught in the United States, where he was recognized by the U.S. government in 2007 as an artist of extraordinary ability. Mamady Keita called him "a patient and precise teacher, and one of the few masters of his instrument."
