29 - Beatriz SLWC (Chapter 4)

Video Summary:

Beatriz beschäftigt sich zum ersten Mal mit dem Gummiabsatz ihres Gipsverbands. Nun versucht sie herauszufinden, wie sie ohne die Hilfe von Krücken gehen kann. Nachdem sie gelernt hat, mit dem SLWC zu laufen, wechselt Beatriz ihre Kleidung, erledigt verschiedene Haushaltsaufgaben und setzt sich auf eine Gartenbank, um sich etwas auszuruhen.

Anschließend zieht sie eine Plastiktüte über ihr Bein, um zu duschen (an dieser Stelle des Kapitels gibt es einen kleinen Zeitsprung). Danach, bereits in ihrem Zimmer, entfernt Beatriz die Plastiktüte vom Bein und überprüft, ob der Gipsverband trocken ist.

Zum Schluss widmet sie sich etwas der Selbstpflege und trägt Feuchtigkeitscreme auf ihren Körper und auf ihre Zehen auf.

Beatriz interacts with the rubber heel of her cast for the first time. She now tries to figure out how to walk without the aid of crutches. After learning how to walk using the SLWC, Beatriz changes clothes, carries out various household tasks, and sits on a garden bench to rest for a while.

Next, she places a plastic bag over her leg to take a shower (there is a small time cut in this part of the chapter). After that, already in her bedroom, Beatriz removes the plastic bag from her leg and checks whether the cast is dry.

Finally, she spends some time on self-care, applying moisturizer to her body and to her toes.
