Poly Echoes
Poly Echoes (VST3, CLAP, AUv2)
Poly Echoes is a polyphonic MIDI arpeggiator built around orbital physics, where each held note becomes a moving body that triggers as it crosses magnetic checkpoints along its lane.
Instead of stepping through a fixed pattern, Poly Echoes lets motion generate rhythm. Each active note travels along its own lane, pulled toward the nearest checkpoint by magnet strength, spoke pull, and charge, while mass, friction, drag, elasticity, and turbulence shape how fast it accelerates, slows, and wobbles. When the body crosses one of 16 evenly spaced checkpoints, it fires a note whose velocity reflects the current kinetic energy. Octave cycling can climb through up to four stacked octaves on each hit, and gate length responds to global Gate Scale plus per-note friction.
Echoes are a core part of the instrument. Set Echo Count up to eight repeats, shape Echo Decay, and choose Echo Mode between Repeats and Octaves so trailing hits either mirror the source pitch or keep climbing through the octave stack. Echo spacing follows field drag, so tighter drag tightens the ripple and wider drag lets each echo breathe. Up to 16 held voices can run at once, each with its own physics profile, while Speed scales orbital motion from 0.25x to 4.00x against the host tempo.
The interface makes the system readable in performance: color-coded lanes, live note labels, motion trails, checkpoint flashes, and expanding echo rings that show repeats building outward from each trigger point. Per-note controls cover Mass, Charge, Friction, Radius, Octaves, Curve, Spoke Pull, and Phase, while global Speed, Magnet, Drag, Echo Count, Echo Decay, Gate Scale, Elasticity, and Turbulence shape the whole field. Switch between horizontal and vertical lane layout, browse 32 preset states from Default Orbit and Echo Chamber to Chaotic Drift and Stardust Trail, or hit the dice button to randomize the entire parameter set.
Use it for magnetic chord pulses, decaying echo figures, irregular bass orbits, generative melodic ripples, physics-driven performance MIDI, and layered polyphonic motion that would be slow to program note by note.
