The sentences are snappy and full of wit, Everlyn and Shilo take us in with their contrasting yet complimentary attitudes, and on top of all that — puppers! Who could ask for more?
This novelette was a great read and I recommend it for everyone, but especially aspiring writers whose dream is to put their work into the world. This work of art is proof that dreams do come true!

I was grinning the whole way through this novelette. Shilo is darling and I just want to give him a hug. Everlyn is so spunky and fun! I love how dramatic she was in her internal monologue.

I wondered how such a short story could pack as much adventure as the description promised, but Sarah-Marie delivers! The pacing is perfectly done, letting us linger just long enough in the moment to feel it, while moving the story along. I could genuinely feel the pressure and stress Shilo was under, while also appreciating Everlyn’s determination to not lose her place in her school.

I was so surprised by how much I loved the story. I went in with fairly high expectations and they were exceeded. This is definitely worth the read! Even the layout of the ebook is delightfully fun!
