Primula elatior or large primrose is a perennial herb with basal leaves, quite large, ovate or elliptical, rough and irregularly toothed. It has several flowers on a scape of between eight and twenty-five centimeters. All of them come from a single pedicel and open in the form of an umbrella (umbela) that all bends towards the same corner.
