1SECTION 2 - HEALING WHAT’S BEEN HURTING
There comes a point when simply recognizing your patterns isn't enough.
You begin to realize that some of the ways you think, react, protect yourself, or show up in relationships didn't just appear out of nowhere.
Healing What’s Been Hurting is where you begin looking beneath the surface.
This section is designed to help you understand the experiences, patterns, emotional responses, beliefs, and protective behaviors that may have influenced the way you've learned to navigate yourself and your relationships.
This isn't about blaming yourself for the past.
It's about creating awareness around what you've carried so you can begin making more intentional choices about what you carry forward.
Begin looking more closely at the recurring thoughts, reactions, behaviors, and relationship patterns that may influence your choices.
Go deeper than the behavior itself and explore what may be underneath the patterns you've begun recognizing.
Create space to acknowledge the emotions, expectations, disappointments, and experiences you've continued carrying with you.
Learn to recognize your role in your choices and patterns without turning accountability into criticism or shame.
Begin creating space between what happens and how you respond so you can make more intentional choices instead of automatically reacting.
Take what you've learned about your patterns and begin identifying new ways of responding that better reflect who you are becoming.
This companion toolkit gives you practical reflection exercises to help you slow down, recognize what you've been carrying, and better understand the patterns that may be influencing your choices.
01 — My Pattern Map
Identify recurring patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships and begin noticing where they show up in your life.
02 — My Pattern Loop
Break down a familiar pattern by looking at what happens before, during, and after the behavior so you can better understand the cycle.
03 — Pattern Beneath the Pattern
Look beyond the behavior itself and explore what may be underneath the pattern you're experiencing.
04 — What Am I Really Responding To?
Create space to distinguish between what is happening in the present moment and what may be influencing your reaction.
05 — Self-Responsibility vs. Self-Blame
Explore the difference between taking responsibility for your choices and turning that responsibility into criticism of yourself.
06 — The Emotional Weight I’ve Been Carrying
Identify the emotions, expectations, disappointments, and experiences you've been carrying and create space to acknowledge them.
07 — The Power of the Pause
Practice slowing down before automatically responding so you can create room for awareness and intentional choice.
08 — What Is This Pattern Trying to Show Me?
Use your patterns as opportunities for self-awareness and explore what they may be revealing about your needs, beliefs, or choices.
09 — Different Response Planner
Identify situations where you typically respond from an old pattern and explore a different response that better aligns with the woman you're becoming.
10 — My Healing Commitment
Define what you want to practice moving forward as you continue learning to understand yourself with greater awareness and self-compassion.
Your Section 2 experience also includes the Healing What’s Been Hurting Workbook, featuring guided exercises designed to help you understand your patterns, recognize what you've been carrying, and create space for different choices.
What Keeps Repeating?
Identify the situations, reactions, and behaviors that seem to repeat throughout your life.
My Pattern Loop
Map out a familiar pattern and explore what happens before, during, and after it.
Pattern Beneath the Pattern
Look deeper at what may be influencing the patterns you've recognized.
What Am I Carrying?
Create space to acknowledge the emotional weight, expectations, experiences, and beliefs you've been carrying.
What Happened vs. How I Responded
Separate the circumstances you've experienced from the choices and responses that followed.
Self-Responsibility vs. Self-Blame
Explore how you can take ownership of your choices without turning that awareness against yourself.
The Power of the Pause
Practice creating space between a trigger and your response.
The Moment Before the Pattern
Slow down and identify what you notice immediately before an old pattern takes over.
My Different Response Plan
Create intentional alternatives for situations where you want to respond differently.
My Commitment to Myself
Define how you want to continue showing up for yourself as you move forward.
Pause and reflect on what you've discovered throughout the section.
What patterns have become clearer?
What have you realized about what may be underneath them?
What have you been carrying that you're finally willing to acknowledge?
Where have you recognized the difference between responsibility and self-blame?
What happens when you give yourself permission to pause?
What response are you ready to practice differently?
End the section by putting your own words around what you've learned about yourself and what you're choosing to do differently moving forward.
This is your opportunity to acknowledge what you've become aware of, honor what you've carried, and create a personal commitment to approaching yourself with greater understanding.
You don't have to deny your past to create something different.
You can understand where you've been while choosing where you go next.
By completing Healing What’s Been Hurting, you'll have spent intentional time exploring:
