Why Support Heritage Heart?
When you purchase from Heritage Heart, you aren't just buying a digital file—you are making a tangible difference. Your support helps a local South African business grow, allowing us to continue creating high-quality content for our community.
Here is why your support matters:
- Direct Local Impact: Your purchase helps a South African business survive. It enables us to earn a living, pay our staff, and cover our bills. By buying directly, you cut out the global "middlemen."
- The Reality of Streaming: On platforms like Spotify, artists are often paid through distributors (like DistroKid or TuneCore) who charge yearly fees that eat into small profits. To earn the same R30.00 profit we make from one direct sale, we would need roughly 300 to 500 people to listen to a song all the way through. Buying directly ensures all your money actually reaches the creator - us.
- Ownership vs. Renting: On iTunes and Spotify, you are essentially "renting" access. If you stop paying your subscription, the music is gone.
On Spotify and Apple Music (iTunes streaming):
- You are not buying the music
- You are paying for temporary access via a subscription
- If you cancel or stop paying, you lose access to the music library
- Even if you: Download songs for offline listening / Add them to playlists / Those files are locked to your active subscription. Once it ends, they won’t play.
- With us, your R40.00 covers a lifetime Private Use License. You can play your song over and over again, whenever you like and on multiply devices.
If someone buys one of our songs from this online store:
- They keep it (Private Licence)
- No subscription required
- No future payments
- It doesn’t disappear
"Your Private Use Licence allows you to play this song for your personal enjoyment and for your immediate family. You are welcome to keep a copy on all of your personal devices (phone, tablet, laptop).
Please Note: This licence is for one household only. These files may not be shared, emailed, or copied for friends, extended family, or use in a professional/educational setting. For school or business use, please see our Commercial Licence."
- Mastered for Quality: Most streaming audio is compressed for small headphones. Heritage Heart tracks are mastered using advanced, professional software to sound rich and clear on high-quality speakers, in large rooms (like lobbies), or as crystal-clear audio for educational use. All songs are for private use only. Commercial licenses are available from us upon request.
- Fair Pay for Fair Work: We believe in a fair wage. The hours spent researching educational topics, refining beats, and ensuring studio-quality sound is our craft. R40.00 per song allows us to sustain the skill and effort required for every track.
- Zero Hidden Fees: No subscriptions, no "per-play" royalties, and no surprise charges. One payment, total peace of mind.
- How Your R40.00 Is Invested:
- R10.00: Covers essential transaction costs (payment gateway fees and webstore commissions).
- R30.00: Goes toward business rent, high-speed internet, electricity, software subscriptions, and design time.
- The Remainder: Every cent left over is reinvested into the company to produce more goods for you.

N/B: All songs can be given in original HD WAV 24Bit, 48kHZ format if requested.
Most of our songs are recorded at 320kbps.
Professional Audio Guarantee:
MP3 is a lossy compression format, meaning it removes some audio information to reduce file size.
- At 128 kbps, a lot of detail is removed → noticeable quality loss
- At 192 kbps, it’s decent
- At 320 kbps, very little is removed → much closer to the original recording
So 320 kbps preserves:
- Clearer highs (cymbals, vocals)
- Better bass definition
- Less distortion
- More “space” in the sound
A standard audio CD (uncompressed PCM) runs at 1,411 kbps.
While 320 kbps is still compressed, for most people:
- It sounds very close to CD quality
- Differences are hard to notice without high-end headphones or speakers
In everyday listening (car, Bluetooth earbuds, streaming), most people can’t reliably tell the difference.
320 kbps gives you:
- High quality
- Reasonable file size
- Good compatibility (MP3 works everywhere)
A 3-minute song at 320 kbps ≈ 7–8 MB
The same song in lossless format (like FLAC) ≈ 25–35 MB So it’s a strong compromise.
You’ll notice the benefit more if:
- You use good headphones or speakers
- You listen to detailed music (classical, jazz, acoustic, layered production)
- You’re sensitive to compression artifacts
For casual listening, even 256 kbps can be enough.
Bottom Line
320 kbps MP3 is good because it’s the highest-quality MP3 setting and sounds nearly indistinguishable from CD quality for most listeners — while still keeping file sizes manageable.
FOR COMMERCIAL USE
The "Inspector" Factor: Its a good idea to have a "Compliance Folder" at the front desk or manager's office, if you are a business of some sorts. In South Africa, hotels and restaurants, pubs and bars and so forth are frequently visited by inspectors from SAMPRA (recording rights) and SAMRO (compositions). If you can't prove you have a license to play your music that you have on hand, you can face heavy fines.

The "Subscription" vs. "Ownership" Breakdown
Feature: Spotify (R100/month) vs Audio Delight (R40 once) Ownership
Spotify: You are "renting." If you stop paying, the music is gone. With us: You own it forever. It's yours even if you have no internet.
Direct Impact - Spotify: I get about R0.06 (6 cents) when you listen. I get R30.00 (3000 cents) when you buy.
Quality: Spotify - Compressed for tiny earphones. Audio Delight: Mastered for high-end, room-filling sound.
Offline Use - Spotify: Requires data/subscription to keep. Audio Delight: offline. No data needed. Play it from a USB, laptop, or phone.
FREQUENT QUESTION ASKED BY CUSTOMERS:
On Spotify I only pay R100.00 per month for millions of songs, why must I buy from you?
- Direct Support: If you listen to my song on Spotify, they pay me about 6 to 10 cents. I’d need you to listen to that one song 500 times just for me to buy a loaf of bread! When you buy it for R40, that money actually helps me pay my rent and keep the business running today. Secondly, these unique songs cannot be found else where except on this platform. Thirdly, you are supporting a South African small business!! By buying local and directly, you are helping others and changing lives.
- Renting vs. Owning: With Spotify, you're basically 'renting' my music. If you ever cancel your sub, you lose the songs. With the R40, that song is yours for life. You can put it on a USB for the car, play it for the kids without using data, and it never expires.

NICE TO KNOW INFORMATION REGARDING OUR IMAGES
All our images are high quality images. Please read the image specs that has been provided, to see what image fits your needs in terms of quality should you need the image for a wall decor or a coffee mug/t-shirt image transfer. WE cannot be held responsible for poor, undesirable print outcomes.
Heritage Heart™ Size & Usage Guide. (This is just a guide, please double check all the facts and do a single test print before doing any main print runs)

CONVERT PNG TO SVG
https://www.freeconvert.com/png-to-svg
MAKE BACKROUND TRANSPARENT
https://www.adobe.com/express/feature/image/remove-background/transparent
https://www.photoroom.com/tools/transparent-background

- For Wall Art: If you want a big canvas of say Table Mountain, you must use a PNG. An SVG cannot handle the thousands of colors in a sunset. As long as your PNG is "High Resolution" (300 DPI), it will look amazing on a wall.
- For T-shirts & Bags: If you are printing a photo-style design (like a picture of a braai), you use a PNG. If you
are printing just a word (like "LEKKER"), an SVG is better because the printer can scale the text perfectly.
The "Secret" to Mugs and Cushions Printing:
- Most companies that print on your placed order (where you upload a file and they ship the mug) actually prefer a high-quality PNG with a transparent background. My suggestion: Only worry about SVGs if you decide to make a very simple, clean logo (like a simple outline of a coffee cup or a springbok).
ADDED INFORMATION
1. If your image is a Illustration/Photo (Complex)
If your images have gradients, shadows, or lots of colors:
- Stay with PNG. * The Golden Rule: Ensure your file is 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch).
- Why: If you try to force these into an SVG, you will lose all the "soul" and detail of your work. Most professional printers for cushions and t-shirts use a process called DTF (Direct to Film) or Sublimation, both of which actually prefer high-quality PNGs.
2. If your image is a Graphic/Text (Simple)
If your image is something like a solid black silhouette of Table Mountain or a bold word like "BRAAI" in one color:
- Convert to SVG.
- Why: This allows you to scale the word from a tiny mug-sized print to a massive hoodie-sized print without the edges ever looking "fuzzy."
Quick Checklist for Your Store's Art:
- For Cushions & Bags: These are large surface areas. Use a PNG that is at least 4000 x 4000 pixels. This ensures the fabric doesn't show "blocks" or "noise."
- For T-Shirts: If the background of your image is white but you are printing on a black shirt, make sure your PNG is transparent (no background). An SVG does this automatically, but a PNG needs to be saved correctly.
- For Wall Decor: Since people look at wall art from a distance, PNG is the standard.
