Plethora of MRI

"𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦? 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴?"🙈 🙉 🙊

I've put together a carousel highlighting some of the 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 of choosing your new MRI scanner. There are 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 and all have a plethora of scanners to choose from, but we always end up choosing from the 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 3 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴.

There's nothing wrong with this approach and their scanners are simply brilliant, but are they the 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for your service needs and your patient cohorts?

Are we choosing based on comfort and familiarity or are we 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 and doing a deep dive into the world of B0's out there?

𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 is a topic quite often overlooked by the MRI community, and a decision that usually doesn't contemplate the "boots-on-the-ground" opinions, but it shouldn't be!

As a community, we have the responsibility to get together, and find solutions for a 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒏𝒋𝒐𝒚𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑴𝑹𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 - for us and mainly for our patients!
