God is an omnipotent, omnipresent Spirit, and His presence is everywhere, especially when two or more are gathered in His name (Matthew 18:20). Looking toward heaven is not just symbolic; Scripture reminds us to set our minds “on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). When we turn our eyes toward heaven, we are reminded that our help comes from the Lord, “the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2). You’d be surprised how much peace and joy it brings to simply enjoy nature and all the things God has created, as Romans 1:20 tells us that His “invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” Looking to the heavens points us back to His promises, assuring us that one day Jesus Christ will return from heaven, and everything on Earth will finally make sense (Philippians 3:20-21). Jesus is the great equalizer, and if you need His help, all you have to do is call His name, and He will enter your heart (Romans 10:13). In the meantime, do not allow yourself to despair over not being in heaven yet, because Jesus reminds us that the kingdom of God can begin here on Earth if we open our hearts to Him (Luke 17:21). Look for signs of His love in the real world, and you will see God everywhere. This artwork can serve as a daily reminder in your home that heaven is our hope, and God’s guidance is always near if we lift our eyes to Him. Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the beginning, and as their descendants, we suffer the consequences of their sin. We now live in a world of sin, despair, and desperation. People need hope more than ever. This artwork serves as a remembrance that if you look in the right places, you will always find God.
