♫ The Music ♫
Rita MacNeil is a much-celebrated and admired country / folk singer / song writer from Big Pond, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on Canada’s East Coast. Her beloved songs tell the stories of The Island and its people.
Rita M is a scalene triangle shawl that is knit from the base to the tip - the shawl getting ever narrower making for a fast finish!
A sweeping lace panel travels up the right edge of the shawl while the body is worked in an arced lace pattern which creates a lovely scalloped base edge and invokes visions of calm ocean vistas. The left edge is worked in an eyelet border.
