Everyday Hobo Bag Sewing Collection - 3 Sizes + Accessories | PDF Development Edition

Explore a reversible hobo bag in Small, Everyday and Roomy sizes, with regular or extended two-face shoulder straps, optional pockets and coordinating accessories. Written construction steps and technical illustrations guide the sample-making process.

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT STATUS

This is a physically untested development edition v0.9 for making and evaluating samples. Original sample-before-retail cautions remain in the files. Digital checks are not physical sewing, wear, comfort, attachment-strength or independent-maker tests. Finished measurements, capacity, device fit and reliable sewing outcomes are not guaranteed. No finished-sample photographs or filmed sew-along are included.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

• Three reversible hobo bag sizes: Small, Everyday and Roomy.

• Two flat lined zipper-pouch sizes; two removable pocket-panel sizes; one wristlet/key strap.

• Four pattern families / eight size versions in total, not eight unrelated bag designs.

• Regular and extended shoulder-strap options, optional pocket divisions, contrast-panel and quilting guidance.

• Five organized ZIP downloads containing 22 current PDFs / 318 pages across A4, US Letter and A0 formats. Alternate paper formats repeat the same physical pattern sizes.

• Start Here, a 36-page main bag guide in each instruction format, accessory and variation guides, printable pattern books and a static PDF project workbook.

• Original source buyer ZIPs preserved separately as reference archives; these are not additional designs.

NOMINAL BAG DIMENSIONS

Width / side height / gusset depth, excluding straps:

Small: 300 × 240 × 70 mm; center-front height 180 mm.

Everyday: 360 × 280 × 90 mm; center-front height 210 mm.

Roomy: 420 × 320 × 110 mm; center-front height 240 mm.

These are seam-line design targets, not measured finished samples. Soft fabric changes shape under load. Strap lengths are not vertical shoulder-drop measurements.

CORRECTED POUCH STEP

Both current Accessories Guides include the zipper-end allowance correction on page 5. Trim only the specified buried nylon-coil/tape allowance, holding fabric tabs clear and preserving stop/join stitches. This provides nominal clearance at the future side seam without changing panel or tab templates. The method is for the specified nylon-coil zipper; it is not a guarantee for all zippers or machines. Follow the complete guide and sample-check the assembly.

RELATED DESIGN NOTE

The reversible hobo concept also appears in the separate Everyday Stitch bag collection. This standalone collection uses different metric dimensions, seam allowances, strap construction and accessory instructions; it is not a re-upload of those RS01 files. Do not mix templates or seam allowances between collections.

BEFORE CUTTING

Choose one paper format and one size. Print patterns at 100% / Actual Size, measure both calibration axes and assemble the tiles as instructed. Follow the 10 mm master seam allowance rather than substituting 3/8 inch. Use suitable stable woven fabrics and sample-test the materials, fit and construction. The zipper pouches are lined, not described as reversible.

Digital PDF download only. No SVG, editable spreadsheet, sewing materials, finished bags, video access, sample photography or promised load rating. The project workbook is a printable PDF, not a fillable or calculating spreadsheet. Keep needles, cutting tools, cords and small hardware away from children and pets.
