Wallaby is a seamless, top-down cardigan featuring a beautifully shaped circular yoke that highlights the subtle impact of three different increase techniques. Construction:

This cardigan is knit from the top down. The body of the cardigan is knit flat and the sleeves are knit in the round. The cardigan has a circular yoke which uses a different increase technique for each of the increase rounds.

The edging and button bands are integrated into the garment as you knit, making for minimal finishing. The edging for the smaller sizes (15–19) is worked over four stitches while the larger sizes (20–30) is worked over five stitches.

15-19: 15/38 – newborn (16/40.5 – 3mths, 17/43 – 6mths, 18/45.5 – 9mths, 19/48 – 12mths) 

20-30: 20/51 – 18mths (21/53.5 – 24mths, 22/56 – 3yrs, 23/58.5 – 4yrs) [24/61 – 5yrs, 25/63.5 – 6yrs, 26/66 – 7yrs] {27/68.5 – 8yrs, 28/71 – 10yrs, 30/76 – 12yrs} inches/cm.


Finished chest measurement: 

15-19: 16/40.5 (17/43, 18½/47, 19½/49.5, 20½/52) 

20-30: 22/56 (23/58.5, 24/61, 25/63.5) [26/66, 27/68.5, 28/71] {29/73.5, 30/76, 32/81}

This garment is designed to fit with graduated ease through the size range from 1”/2.5cms to 2”/5cms.

* OR Skeinz Silver Lining (100% rare breed merino; 119yd 109m/50g) − 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) 5 (5, 5, 6) [6 7, 7] {8, 9, 10} balls


* OR DK/8ply weight yarn of approximately: 

15-19: 220/200 (250/230, 300/275, 340/310, 400/365) 

20-30: 450/420 (500/460, 540/495, 600/550) [650/595, 700/640, 760/695] {820/750, 890/815, 1020/935} yards/ metres.


Original yarn is a worsted-spun merino with a 4 strand structure.
