The Max Chroma Color Blender & Halftone Tessellator is a Photoshop CS6 (Version 13) and CC (Version 14 "Pre-2014") Plugin Panel with scripts and included actions that was built specifically for automating the splitting and re-blending of colors into various layers or channels from a flattened image or an image with a transparent background. The various actions can convert a single image layer into the various color divisions that would reproduce it, as well as tessellating the image plane into various methods of halftone shape conversions, automatically transforming any image into different levels of color halftone blending. There are many uses for this type of image conversion, whether it be for artistic purposes or for creating images that could be utilized for making color separations for the screenprinting process.
This plugin was included for free with purchase of the Max Chroma Master Colorist Action Pack, and I'm now making it available for free by itself with no purchase of any other products necessary. This is a Max Chroma Legacy product, and there are installation videos on my youtube channel showing how to install it on either PC or Mac, by installing the correct version of Photoshop from your Creative Cloud application manager. I will be making videos on the channel that show how the plugin works on various images and how to use different features of the plugin.
This free plugin is to be used however you want, but I do not really give customer support for specific usages... As of March of 2019 Adobe has discontinued the ability for creative cloud subscribers to install previous versions of Photoshop before the 2017 version. Therefore I cannot even support the ability to install the plugin panel if you do not already have a copy of Photoshop CS6 or CC 2013 working on your system already. Be sure to subsribe to my youtube channel to keep up to date on future tutorial videos that show the plugin in action on various image examples, and some of the ways in which I use it myself.
I have made the plugin free to download with simply the intention of letting anyone use it however they wish and if they still have a copy of Photoshop CS6 or CC Version 14 (2013) Installed on their systems. It is also considered open source, and eventually I will be including the Adobe Configurator files used to create the plugin panel, and showing in videos how to modify the script files to change things such as the halftone dot-shape types and other aspects of the plugin panel... the images for the buttons and panels, etc. Have fun exploring the possibilities, your imagination is the limit!
