Garden Scene - Snails
My love for flowers and fiber runs deep so I combined both of them into my art. I harvested yellow coneflowers from my neighbors yard and pounded them into linen fabric leaving a naturally dyed print. I then embroidered a garden scene onto the fabric and added a pressed coneflower at the end. Designed and embroidered by me November 2022. Please note that a real pressed(dried) flower is used and it will naturally fade over time. To keep it from fading fast be sure to not place in direct sunlight. This is delicate so be careful while handling and avoid touching the flower.
To me the messy guts on the back side of the emrboidery are part of the art so I don't back my embroideries. Since I don't back them it is best to hang the embroidery against a wall so that the fabric isn't as sheer.
