Multitool PREORDER
Please Note, this is a preorder! Packages will ship December 1. That should be in time to be delivered before Christmas (even internationally), but the world is on fire and the mail sometimes gets unpredictable in a crisis.
Everyone fell in love with these amazing knitting multitools when I sent them to the mail club this summer, so I found a way to bring them back! There's a good chance you've never seen anything quite like this before, so let me tell you all about them:
- The cards are made of sturdy metal and are just a hair bigger than a credit card (3.5"x2.5", about the size of a playing card). They fit in almost any wallet and pack a whole bunch of tools into a teeny tiny space.
- You've got three useful measuring tools, all in imperial units (inches and US needle sizes) on one side, metric on the other.
- There's a needle gauge with 8 sizes, US needle sizes 0-5/2-3.75mm.
- There's a ruler, 3 inches/7cm.
- There's a stitch gauge guide (lay the tool on your fabric, count the stitches in the window, divide by 2 for stitches per inch, multiply by 2 for stitches per 10 centimeters).
- In the middle you've got five punch out emergency backup needles and two punch out emergency back up crochet hooks, perfect for dealing with textile emergencies in a pinch. And yes, they really do work!
- Each card comes in a plastic sleeve (to keep all the delicate punch out bits safe and secure) and a velum envelope (to keep it safe in your wallet or knitting bag and to hang on to the hooks and needles after you've punched them out).
The most common thing I heard from folks when these were available over the summer was that people wanted a stack of them (one for the car, one for the wallet, one for the knitting bag...or one for everyone in their knitting group). So that's what we're going to do! You've got two options:
- Two card bundle, two cards (one for your wallet and one for your glovebox? one for your wallet and one for your desk drawer? one for you and one for a friend?) for $50 (that includes US shipping, international shipping is an extra $5).
- Five card bundle, five cards (one for every project bag? one for every place you sit down to knit? one for everyone in your knitting group?) for $100 (that includes US shipping, international shipping is an extra $5).
If you order during the preorder, you'll get a special preorder bonus! I'll include a fantastic little plastic gauge card in every order (you can see it in the last picture). Lay it on top of your fabric, find the row where one stitch fills one square in the grid, and you've found your gauge! I'll put one in the two card bundle, two in the five card bundle.
The preorder closes in about three weeks. That's some time around the middle of October (the exact date depends on when my final round of proofs comes and I put in my official order). I'll get a handful of extras (to handle folks who find us after the preorder closes but before they all ship out) and make those available for a week or so before they ship, but the safest way to be sure to get what you want is to order them now.
Once these ship out on December 1, they will no longer be for sale! I do occasional product drops a few times a year, but I don't keep a physical product store open (I'm a one person show and the logistics on that are beyond me).
