The Women's Pleasure manuscript is the first illustrated hand-written Islamic Manuscript written on the subject of its title. Dated to the early 8th century (700 AD)


The text is written from right to left in old Persian Farsi Language, and most of the pages have illustrations.

Among the ancient Hindus, there are several books in the field of marriage, pregnancy and childbirth, and some of these books written in Sanskrit were translated into the Persian language during the era of Islamic rule in India, including this book, which was translated by many scholars, and Ziya al-Din al-Nakhshibi was the first to translate it in the 8th century under the name of Lazah al Nisa's which translate to The women's Pleasure

ورد في مقدمة المخطوط أن راجا بهوج المشهور بشجاعته وسخائه وكرمه طلب من وزيره كوكا أن يؤلف له كتابًا في مجال الأدوية والعقاقير التي تزيد على الباه وتعين على الجماع، فأجاب كوكا طلب راجا وألف هذا الكتاب باللغة السنسكريتية وسماه كام شاشتر واستند في تأليفه إلى مدونات الحكماء المتقدمين
