The Composition Of Evan Jeffries eBook

When I read Ayoka B.’s debut novel, about halfway through it I became “team MIKE!” If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you really need to read the companion novel, Love at Second Sight. You’ll be glad you did!
So, in The Composition of Evan Jeffries, I got to meet Mike in all his tragic, brilliant, joyful, “intimate” (if you know what I mean), glory. From the beginning of the book to the end, I was an observer, and at times a participant (vicariously of course), in his life. He showed himself to be an immensely talented man, a gentle man, a good father and friend, a man who loved with as much commitment as he lived. However, he was in no way perfect or immune to the issues that affect every other human being. He had his own heartaches to tend to. He he had his own demons to fight, along with the uncertainty that he could ever truly love anyone the way that he had the woman he lost and could never seem to get over.
This book is not a sequel, it is a companion to the first in which we meet the man and then learn about him as we share his highs and his lows (and trust, Mike’s lows are low and his highs are extremely high!) In the end, we witness the growth of a man and take the journey with him to places even he could not have thought he’d go in his wildest dreams. Mike became such a real character to me that something happened in the book that caused me to audibly gasp and get a little upset with the author for doing that to my friend!
As a man, I feel that for ANY man seeking to start reading for enjoyment (and those who already do), The Composition of Evan Jeferies Jeffries would work as an excellent entry point! And the awesome thing about the novel and its companion is that they are written in such a way that you can read The Composition of Evan Jeffries first and Love at Second Sight second, or vice versa, and it will work either way! I don’t know if the author even did that on purpose, but that’s how it happened.
All of that said, grab your copy of The Composition of Evan Jefferies and sit back for a different kind of a story that is original, engaging and in the end, uplifting!
