Gets the science mostly right and the ethics catastrophically wrong, which is the whole lesson.

A lawyer named Gennaro and a paleontologist named Alan Grant are flown out to Isla Nublar, an island off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica that John Hammond's company, InGen, has quietly bought and stocked. Hammond's geneticists, led by Henry Wu, have recovered dinosaur DNA from biting insects preserved in amber, patched the gaps in the broken sequences with frog DNA, and grown the animals on a resort island that has not opened yet.
