Prayer is My Weapon & I'm Loaded Book

In a day and time like we are in we need to be equipped, ready, and loaded WITH prayer and IN prayer every day. PRAYER IS MY WEAPON & I'M LOADED is full of wisdom, knowledge and insight on how to pray and to recognize hinderances in our own lives that keeps us from moving forward.

Pastor Joyce teaches how to put on the whole armor of God and to stand against the wiles of the Devil for our families, marriages, and peer pressure in the church, and making hard decisions just to name a few. Yes, there is such a thing as peer pressure in the church.

Sometimes a WINDOW is left open for the enemy to still have access; even though the DOOR has been closed. Misplaced Love/The seed of Rejection is often placed in the wrong thing or a person when rejection is present. Living with the Inner Enemy is a battle within. “Overtime, we learn to enjoy painful pleasures that come with lifelong consequences because we want change but seems impossible.”

Set your cup out and be filled while the table is being spread.

This is truly a must read! I decided to start on Chapter 6: I’m Married but I Feel Single and it instantly got me all the way together! Page 51, specifically, had me locked in a chokehold, especially the part that says, “If our hearts are not in right standing, even though God is just, He cannot go against His Word simply because we are uncomfortable or distressed. However, He uses pain to redirect us back to Him.” Man! I had to read that over and over again because I knew God was speaking directly to me through Pastor Joyce’s writings.

I’m only getting started and I’m already sure that this book is going to check me and have me crying out for God to fix my heart before He answers any of my prayers about fixing others. I thank God for Pastor Joyce!

Each chapter was very well written. You can tell by reading that the author experienced each chapter and had overcome the obstacles that were meant to stop a believer from going higher in prayer. So many good nuggets!

I dove right into Pastor Joyce’s book and the first chapter I read was “ I’m Married but I Feel Single.” The gems in that chapter absolutely blew my mind! She teaches that both people need healing and how vital that is for a strong marriage. She also recommended the movie War Room and explained how powerful it is to stop fighting with your partner and instead war in the spirit. Another key insight that really stood out to me was how childhood trauma can impact the way a person shows up in marriage.

This book is filled with the kind of wisdom and guidance I’ve been needing, and I truly appreciate the way Pastor Joyce teaches!
