Prayer Study Guide

Your prayer life is a journey. It will not be a one-hit wonder or a name-it-and-claim-it type of lifestyle. You will begin to see the fruits of your labors as you put the principles in this book into practice and discover your own personal journey with Christ. This book is in no way the only guide to a successful prayer life.
What I have found is that everyone has their own story. Everyone has their own encounters with Christ and this book is a result of my encounters with Him. I want to share what I have learned so it may help stir a fresh hunger and desire in your family. The Bible says, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16) When you develop a healthy prayer life, you allow the fire of God to become real in your life and you will have a strong desire to seek Him daily. This is what God is saying in this passage of Scripture. Don’t allow the world and the ways of the world to lessen your desire for Him. It is those who have held fast and stayed true to the Word who will be hot for God.
Matthew writes, “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it”

(Matthew 7:14). I urge you to stay on course. Stay on the path that follows God. As you follow the road that seems less-traveled, you will soon discover a road that leads to the greatest treasure you could ever imagine. That treasure is a lifestyle that is pleasing and honoring to God and a lifestyle that sees results. It is a lifestyle of prayer.
The person who takes his own life and is willing to lay it aside for the cause of Christ will stand before God one day in heaven. God will then look at him and say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Will you be that person?

There will be many excuses not to pray. You must take control of those excuses and make prayer a priority because you move the heart of God when you pray. When the heart of God is moved, lives are forever changed.
