Book Six: ENAMELING WORKSHOP, is the last of the series “Masterworks Images In Glass”. Each journal stands alone, and is centered on a particular aspect of Marion’s work. The workshop demonstrations here detail several useful processes, such as how to design and lay out the wirework for a cloisonné image on an intermediate surface, before transferring it to the metal backing. Of primary importance, this focuses on the care necessary to layer and fire the enamel colors to realize the beautiful transparency inherent in the medium.
