Phase 1 clone trooper armor is the initial battle gear worn by the Grand Army of the Republic, characterized by a distinctive white, form-fitting plastoid-alloy suit, a T-shaped visor on the helmet, and a utility belt. While featuring a life support system and advanced helmet displays, the armor was known for being uncomfortable and bulky due to the Kaminoans' limited understanding of human ergonomics. This early armor also used colored markings on the helmet to denote officer ranks, a practice that became more individualistic with later customizations.
