Socks for the “no-fuss” person ~ simple yet interesting-to-knit ribbed leg for a great fit ~ traditional slip-stitch heel ~ Stockinette foot ~ wedge toe.
Choose navy or black yarn to create a great basic dress sock. The foot has not patterning so it’s a very fast knit and no bumps or lumps for those sensitive feet!
A 2-page picture tutorial is included for the Estonian Cast-On used in the model. Pattern also includes how-to instructions for grafting the toe.

Estonian Cast-On; knit in the round; cuff down
Stitch Pattern in both written out and charted form.

To fit foot circumference 8 (8 ½, 9, 9 ½, 10, 10 ½)” / 20.5 (21.5, 23, 24, 25.5, 26.5) cm; finished sock circumference 7 ½ (8, 8 ½, 9, 9 ½, 10)” / 19 (20.5, 21.5, 23, 24, 25.5) cm
Yarn
300 (350, 400, 435, 485, 540) yds / 274 (320, 366, 397, 444, 494) m sock / fingering weight yarn; sample shown in Knit Picks Stroll Fingering Weight (231 yds / 212 m per 1 ¾ oz / 50 g skein; 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon) in Peapod
Needles
2.75 mm / US 2 (used for cast on only)
2.25mm / US 1 set of 4 dpn or 2 circulars or 1 circular 32” / 80 cm or longer for Magic Loop
Cable needle
Adjust needles to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge
32 sts / 42 rows = 4” /10 cm in Stockinette on smaller needles after blocking
