All Buttoned Up Wrist Warmers
This is a pdf crochet pattern written in UK crochet terms.
Pattern Description: These pretty wrist warmers are an ideal first project, a great chance to practice buttonholes and create an accessory that will always attract compliments! They are designed with an extra-long cuff to keep out draughts.
Skill Level: Beginner.
Crochet Skills Needed: Double crochet, making chains, half treble, working into chain spaces.
Size: Before making up (after blocking):
Small: width 20cm / length 19cm
Medium: Width 22cm / length 19cm
Throughout, figures in brackets refer to larger sizes. Where there is only one set of figures, this applies to both sizes.
Tension: Work 16 st and 20 rows in dc to measure 10x10cm using 3.75mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
Please ensure you check your tension (and measure your hand) before you start.
160 (190) m 4 ply or fingering weight yarn (for such a small and simple project I highly recommend using a beautiful yarn which you’ll enjoy wearing and crocheting). I used The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% merino, 30% masham, 10% mohair) 100g / 218m for the updated version of this design. The main image shows Rowan Cashsoft 4 ply in shade “Toxic” which is now discontinued.
