Fernando is a small, well-mannered ant who tips his hat to anyone who walks by.

He's made with chenille yarn in two colors and his six little legs are worked in cotton for that extra bit of definition. Once finished, he measures just under 20 cm long — small enough to sit on a shelf, big enough to actually see his little hat. The whole thing takes about 2 to 3 hours from start to finish.

This pattern is written for beginners who are comfortable with the basics — magic ring, single crochet, increases and decreases — but intermediate crocheters will enjoy the quick, satisfying make too. No special stitches, no tricky shaping, just clean rounds and a tiny hat that somehow makes everything better. 🤠
