PORTUS

This set was created in the torrid Portuguese summer of 2023, on the Algarve coasts, part of the magical South of the country full of unforgettable cliffs and sand dunes.

Portugal contains “portus” in its etymology. It means harbor. When we were reviewing the photos that we produced that evening, we were pleasantly surprised to see how we had used our bodies to unconsciously create bridges between our physical forms that reached that very particular and unique bond of friendship that goes way beyond the colleagueship we share.

Playing with forms and narrative, the flow of that moment seems now like a surreal opening in time where we immersed for a much longer period of time than it was that summer day. In a sort of harmonic dance, pure improvisational magic, dissecting sometimes the portions of a complete movement in a quest for exploration.

All of these photos are self-portraits. Allowing the unique intimacy you can achieve with the kind.
