Luzi is an unusually shaped shawl, both textured and lacy in a discreet and elegant way. It can be worn like a kerchief or a shawl and as it is long and rather narrow it can also be worn like a scarf, without bulkiness around the neck! It is worked sideways, from the shorter side to the point. Without any endless or boring row! It is shaped by increases and decreases worked at different rates. A shawl easy to knit, with patterns easy to remember and a piece that goes up quickly!
Yarn : Serafina* BFL Masham 4 ply 437 yards (400 meters) / 100g
Yardage approx. : 655 yards / 600m of fingering weight yarn
Needles:
4 mm / US6 needles
The shawl is knitted flat but it’s recommended to use a long cable circular needle to accommodate the amount of stitches at the beginning. Change for shorter needle as necessary.

17 stitches x 27 rows in Lace pattern, after blocking, with 4 mm / US6 needles

Luzi est un châle à la forme inhabituelle, un triangle allongé, tricoté en biais. Il est à la fois texturé et ajouré de façon discrète et élégante. Il peut se porter comme un foulard et comme il est long et plutôt étroit il peut aussi se porter comme une écharpe, sans épaisseur excessive autour du cou ! Il se tricote du côté le plus court jusqu'à la pointe et sans aucun rang interminable ni ennuyeux ! Sa forme est construite par des augmentations et diminutions travaillées à des rythmes différents. Il est facile à tricoter, les motifs sont faciles à retenir et le châle monte vite.

Le châle est tricoté à plat mais il est recommandé d’utiliser des aiguilles circulaires avec un câble suffisamment long (60 ou 80 cm) pour pouvoir travailler facilement le grand nombre de mailles du départ. Vous pouvez changer pour un câble plus court quand cela devient nécessaire.

17 mailles x 27 rangs en Motif Dentelle, tricoté avec les aiguilles 4mm, après blocage after blocking. Vous pouvez adapter la taille des vos aiguilles en fonction de l’échantillon obtenu. L’obtention de l'échantillon exact n’est pas crucial pour ce projet, mais votre échantillon aura un impact sur la taille finale du châle.
