Love this series

As a former horse girl who no longer gets to ride, the eventing series has been such a lovely read. I love watching Jules grow as a character. I also appreciate that these books are not romances in disguise as horse books; this series puts the horses front and center. That is exactly what I was looking for when I went looking for horse books for one-time horse girls who grew up.

The book every horse-mad girl needs to read before deciding to make horses a career!!

This story is gritty, compelling and fundamentally honest about the reality of trying to make a living in the world of horses. Now available in a box set of ebook bundle for your convenience, this is the route to take. Each book has a conclusion to its own story arc, but bundled this way, it is much easier to see the way the arcs link together to form the bigger picture of personal growth and self-reflection.

Every girl -- heck, every person -- even considering the idea of a career in horses should read this book series. Although wrapped up in an engaging an compelling story of one woman's journey through life and her struggle to build a career in 'eventing' horses, there is an underlying truth to the vicissitudes of horses as a career. There is no easy route to success where horses are concerned. The horses must matter more than anything, including personal security.

Jules, along with Lacey her working student/barn mamager and her boyfriend/business partner Pete, are put thru a proverbial wringer over the course of this seven book series. Acquisition and loss of horses, property, jobs, housing, sponsors and bosses are all hurdles to be overcome and success is measured in personal growth.

Transports the reader into the world of horses!

The perfect book for all of us who dreamed of owning our own horse, eventing around the world, or riding in the Olympics. The characters, including the horses, are realistic and relatable. It’s well written and transports me back to my horse-crazy days. For those of us that love horses but couldn’t afford to stay in the horse world, this is our story.
