An alcoholic infatuated with a singer. A religious fanatic wanting to save souls, believing that God commissioned him to target the singer, her admirer and the members of their hedonistic social world, for salvation.
It is a dysfunctional world: A-social Frenchy; Palesa the singer; and the religious fanatic Eliot Thornton. They are catapulted together in the city.
The social structure within which they operate is fragmented and frayed. Their interaction is devoid of introspection. They behave solely on impulse.
The story’s conclusion is fuelled by the unstoppable response of the religious fanatic to the world of the singer, her admirer and their hedonistic environment.
