Amsterdam captures the rhythm of color and texture in a generously sized crescent-shaped shawl from the Grande Mosaic collection. Worked in three colors, the shawl combines striking mosaic tulip motifs with a succession of textured stitch patterns, creating a fabric that is as engaging to knit as it is beautiful to wear.

While the finished shawl looks intricate, the knitting itself remains relaxing. Throughout the shawl, every stitch pattern is worked with just one strand of yarn at a time, making the knitting approachable despite the richly textured appearance. The result is a shawl full of depth, texture, and endless possibilities for creative color combinations.

CONSTRUCTION

Amsterdam is a crescent shaped shawl that is worked from the top down starting with a classic garter tab. The body of the shawl is mainly worked using the mosaic technique interlaced with other stitch patterns that are all carefully described in the pattern.
