I’ve got one month to get my life together, or it’s going to be a very un-Merry Christmas for me!

When I run into my childhood buddy, Nate, outside Martin’s Grocery on Thanksgiving Day, he invites me to catch up at his nearby veterinary office.

Nate is just what I need to go from hopeless to hopeful about returning home after my failed marriage. He offers me the support and comfort of an old friendship, and a job as his office manager.

Working side-by-side with him is only a teensy bit challenging. Nate’s a shameless flirt, and I can’t stop sneaking glances at this cuter, funnier version of the guy I used to know. It makes me wonder if, despite our platonic past, do we have a romantic future together?
