Join me for seven twenty-minute long yoga practices to keep your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy balanced and working in your favour.
Track 1- Root Chakra- Muladhara
This practice helps us to connect to our physical, mental and emotional stability and equanimity and re-balance the energies of the root chakra. The asana (yoga poses) will work primarily on the feet, legs and spine, while we reflect upon our connection to nature and our physical experience of life, our community, the self and our sense of safety and stability.
Perfect for days when…you’re living in your head, feeling anxious, times of dis-connection with self or others. Or just any day you want to feel a whole lot better about!
Track 2- Sacral Chakra- Svadhisthana
This set of yoga poses focuses on connecting with the hips, lower back and abdomen. As the centre of our creativity, freedom and vibrancy the sacral chakra is the place to go to when you need to shake up limited beliefs or fear around your ability to create a beautiful life.
Perfect for days when…life feels a bit grey, your creative ideas (or out of the box thinking) are dry or you just need to love your body and life again.
Track 3- Solar Plexus Chakra- Manipura
In this session we connect to the stimulating, sometimes fiery energies of the solar plexus, stomach, digestion and adrenal glands. As the seat of our ambition, energy and drive this place can get pretty frantic if life is busy and over-whelming and is often in need of re-balancing.
Perfect for days when…you need a bit of a boost, a pick me up or you just want to flush out all the stress hormones that are flooding your system. Prepare to feel fabulous again!
Track 4- Heart Chakra- Anahata
Tune in for a heart centred asana practice with an emphasis on the chest, upper back, shoulders, arms and hands. This session has been created to soothe your heart, steady your emotions and help you to re-connect to compassion, empathy, warmth and acceptance for yourself and others.
Perfect for days when…you feel disconnected from yourself or others, you need to get off the emotional roller-coaster or just need to say ‘enough’ to the world and stop it for twenty minutes so you can re-fill your tank. You have to feel it to heal it!
Track 5- Throat Chakra- Vishuddhi
This practice helps us to connect with the clarity, purity and power of the throat chakra- the energy centre that relates to communication and how we express ourselves. From a physical perspective this area relates to the neck and throat, the jaw and vocal cords.
Perfect for days when…you need to feel powerful in your ability to voice (or write) your needs or champion the needs of others or a cause. You need to clear the path between your heart and throat so that you’re able to be honest and kind in all your communications.
Track 6- Brow Chakra- Ajna
The saying goes, the mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master. Mastery over the mind, or at the very least a bit more focus is what this asana practice is all about. From a physical perspective working the brow chakra releases tension in the head and muscles behind the eyes.
Perfect for days when…you feel mentally frazzled (or you know you’re heading that way). You need to make a decision, see past the surface of things and go deeper into your motivations and intentions.
Track 7- Crown Chakra- Sahasrara
In this session we connect with the infinite nature of the crown chakra through movement and intention. The crown chakra is our connection with the infinite and can move us past constantly seeking satisfaction and safety in the material realms.
Perfect for days when…you need to step aside from the material world and go within. You need to access a level of thinking that is beyond where you are at present. You are ready to receive a virtual hug from the universe!
