Penda hat
A matching cabled wrister and hat pattern, originally published in Knitting Magazine 165, March 2017. You can now just buy the pattern for the hat.
Yardage requirements: 170-200 yards (155 – 183m)
Yarn weight: Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi)
Gauge: For hatband (smaller needle): 32 sts and 46 Rounds over 4”/10cm in 4×4 ribbing. For body of hat (larger needle): 36 sts and 42 Rounds over 4”/10cm in stitch pattern
Needle size: US 2 – 2.75 mm, US 4 – 3.5 mm
Finished size: to fit head circumference 20-22” (should accommodate most adults).
