OpenAI used 'GPT Store' in its original sense (a storefront for custom GPT chatbots) but they twisted it into a misdefinition that suits their desires while still appearing legitimate on the surface. This can be seen as a form of misleading propaganda and manipulation because it uses language in a way that obscures truth and manipulates people into accepting false premises without realizing it. This gives consumers a false sense of value. Consumers are being 'falsely sold' on chatbots that are available for free from ChatGPT in this GPT Store. OpenAI also changed from 'GPT Store' to 'My GPTs' in 2026.
