MPEmotion – MIDI FX (VST3, CLAP, AUv2, M4L)

MPEmotion is a MIDI effect that works as an MPE emulator. It makes no sound by itself: place it before an MPE-capable instrument, play ordinary MIDI from any keyboard or clip, with no MPE controller, and MPEmotion turns it into MPE MIDI: every note gets its own channel and its own pitch, pressure and timbre motion.

Move from one chord to the next and the same voices continue, gliding to the new notes along the shortest path, so chords morph instead of restarting. Hold a chord and every voice can keep moving on its own, swelling, brightening and drifting the way a player would.

The piano roll draws every voice as a line, so you can see the expression you are sending.

Highlights:

- MPE out from plain MIDI in: up to 15 voices on lower-zone member channels 2 to 16, with per-note pitch bend (±48 semitones), pressure and timbre (CC74)

- Voice-leading glide: smart (non-crossing) or classic leading, time or rate glide with five curves, per-voice spread, stagger in five orders, glide paths (arc up, arc down, zigzag, swirl), start directions and release bends

- Autopilot: held voices keep moving with octave leaps, scale intervals and walks, glide arpeggios, bounces, weaving, breathing, wandering, mirrored inversions, an editable 8-step sequence or an evolving loop, free or tempo-synced

- Automatic per-note expression: pressure swell, timbre wander, delayed vibrato and drift

- Legacy bend: 27 pitch-bend shapes over a tempo-synced length from 1/16 to 16 bars, played globally, retriggered by every note or per voice

- Four per-voice modulators and a 16-slot matrix to pitch, pressure, timbre and vibrato

- 64 presets for glide, transitions and Autopilot, plus a dice

- Four piano-roll looks and a full-screen view
