2D GAME CREATOR
This software is a DirectX 9 game creator for Windows, designed for 2D games. It uses an event based system for defining how the game behaves, in a visual, human-readable way - you don't need to program or script anything at all. It is intuitive for beginners, but powerful enough for advanced users to work without hindrance.
The software uses a ribbon interface for easy access to commands. The layout of the interface is fully customisable, so you can arrange it as you want. The layout editor provides a visual, what-you-see-is-what-you-get view of the level. Objects can be arranged on to layers.
When you run your created game, the rendering is hardware-accelerated using DirectX, giving optimal performance by utilising the graphics card. This also allows you to use pixel shaders on objects, for advanced rendering effects.
The paint software is a fast and easy graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it. The software comes with a large brush collection including charcoal and ink to emulate real media, but the highly configurable brush engine allows you to experiment with your own brushes and with not-quite-natural painting.
This software is perfect for those wanting good features without the software being to complex or bulky. This software aims to be easy to work with so you can focus on your creativity rather than trying to figure out how to do complex operations. We have also included a couple of tutorials in PDF format to help get you started.

Pencil 2D is an animation and drawing software program for Windows. It lets you create traditional hand-drawn animation (cartoon) using both bitmap and vector graphics. Nowadays, computers make 2D animation much easier. If you love drawing cartoons and creating animations then this is the software for you.
The software is kept simple so you can focus on your creativity. The drawing toolbox contains the basic tools you need like brush, pencil, coloring tool and erase. There is a color selection tool, pen width tool, a layer tool and simple timeline at the bottom. With the timeline features, you can add layers such as a Bitmap Layer, Vector Layer, Sound Layer and Camera Layer.
This is an animation application so you can also add and remove KeyFrames. On the Time Line you can also choose to use onion skinning to see the previous frame and the next frame so that you can trace what you drew to animate it. You can also loop your animation while playing to save you from pressing play over and over again. The default FPS is 12 but on the Time Line you can choose up to 50 FPS.
Synfig is a powerful, industrial-strength vector-based 2D animation software package. The software has been designed from the ground-up for producing feature-film quality animation with fewer people and resources. 2D Animation has traditionally been very expensive because every frame must be drawn by hand. Even with today's digital inking and painting software, the process still relies on individuals hand-drawing each frame. This laborious task is called ‘tweening’. Synfig eliminates the task of manual tweening, producing smooth, fluid motion without the animator having to draw out each frame individually. This allows you to produce 2D animation with fewer people while producing art of a higher quality.
As a true front-end and back-end-application, it is possible to design the animation in the front-end and render it at a later time with the backend Synfig Tool. This could be done another (potentially faster) computer without a graphical display connected.
The software is capable of simulating soft-shading using curved gradients within an area so that the animator does not have to draw shading into every single frame. There is also a wide variety of other real-time effects that can be applied to layers or groups of layers like radial blurs and colour tweaks that all are resolution-independent. Other features include the ability to control and animate the width of lines at their individual control points, and the ability to link any related data from one object to another. Synfig also works with High Dynamic Range Imaging.
