The Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle (SOEIV), or drop pod, is a 5-meter tall, teardrop-shaped capsule used by ODSTs for high-risk orbital insertions. Featuring Titanium-A armor, the single-occupant capsule launches from ships, utilizing thrusters for guided descent before breaking atmospheric heat. It contains a crash seat, integrated communications, and gear storage for quick, intense drops.
