Koschei's Dream

Koschei the Deathless has a dream that a person named Rurik will kill him by destroying his soul, which is kept in a silver box buried on the Isle of Buyan. This threatens to end Koschei’s invulnerability to death. A child is born in the village of Slavensk named Rurik. Koschei intends to slay the innocent child before he matures and becomes a problem. When Koschei sets his mind to do something nothing can get in his way.
