Who is this course for?
If you are an aspiring musician, an independent artist or composer then this is for you! Over the 40 or so years I have been in this business I have been asked the same kinds of questions over and over again, but now, as the internet and new technologies give artists and composers even greater freedom to handle their own careers I feel that now is the time to answer all of those questions.
What is the course about?
There are many misconceptions about how this business works - even by people who really should know better! - so this is an attempt to straighten out a few of them to help you avoid problems in the future.
We will be looking at Music Rights, Publishing, Licensing, Distribution, Royalties and a whole lot more to give you the best possible understanding of what you are really worth.
Course curriculum
The course is divided into 2 sections, the first giving you an understanding of the various business models and principles and the second going deeper into working practices and revenue generation.
